Studio Novel

Through Studio Novel, I rethink my practice as an artisan by bringing a more resilient perspective to traditional ceramic techniques. My creative work unfolds in a constant dialogue between respect for this ancestral heritage and my desire to create objects with a low environmental impact.

Studio Novel creations, shaped from biodegradable materials, celebrate the raw, the unpredictable, and the organic. Working with a natural material means embracing the impermanence inherent to living matter, with each piece resulting from both my gesture and the material itself: as it dries, textures, roughness, and irregularities gradually emerge. Far from mass production, Studio Novel offers a return to the authenticity of handmade craft, where each piece tells its own story. During the drying process, the material evolves at its own rhythm, forming unpredictable textures and surfaces, allowing time to shape it until one day it returns to the earth.

A passionate ceramist for over 12 years, I fell in love with this creative practice during workshops. Fascinated by the infinite possibilities contained in a simple ball of clay, I later took part in numerous advanced training courses in Switzerland and abroad. My encounter with ceramics—with its extraordinary potential for creating functional objects—was profoundly liberating.
