Atelier Léthé

For over 20 years, Atelier Léthé has been celebrating the ancestral craftsmanship of Syrian master glassblowers. Each piece, mouth-blown and hand-shaped from recycled glass, is entirely unique. Today, Léa and Théodore carry on this thousand-year-old tradition—recently inscribed on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list—becoming, despite themselves, among its last ambassadors beyond Syria.

For more than 20 years, Atelier Léthé – formerly Salaheddin – has been preserving and elevating the ancestral craftsmanship of Syrian master glassblowers.

This adventure is above all a story of transmission, preservation, and passion.

Each piece is mouth-blown and shaped by hand from recycled glass, without the use of molds, giving every creation its own unique and authentic character.

The richness of the colors, all obtained from recycled glass, together with the diversity of shapes, offers an infinite range of combinations.

Beauty lies in imperfection: each piece is singular, and its subtle irregularities bear witness to the handmade process and the pure authenticity of the object.

Today, Atelier Léthé continues to evolve under the impulse of Léa and Théodore, who fell in love with these glass creations.

Among the last to export this craftsmanship from Syria, they have become, despite themselves, the guardians of a millennia-old tradition recently inscribed on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list.
