From passions to world tours, this hunter in search of wonder has assembled a collection of 15,000 objects dating from the 9^th to the 20^th centuries, from Southeast Asia and Africa.

At the initiative of Wabi-Sabi Lab, he wished to open his domain to those he loves and who share his appetite for objects that convey emotions. They are diverse, multiple, from here or elsewhere, but they all share a form of humility, simplicity and obviousness often determined by their original function.

To support these objects, you need furniture, and to reach the absolute of life… works of art.

A collective of artists, gallery owners, craftsmen, antique dealers and other creators steeped in the Wabi-Sabi philosophy will welcome you. The real thing, the original. Not the one overhyped by the big decorating chains or bloggers in search of “like”.

This event, which is set to become an annual event, resonates with the spirit of the times.

We’ll be showcasing re-used, repaired, restored and re-purposed furniture, objects and textiles.

We’ll be showcasing ancestral and contemporary know-how, as well as artistic practices through art and arts and crafts.

In contrast to the banality that pervades our daily lives, we’ll be cultivating the unusual and singularity of each piece within a vast, creative and inspiring scenography imagined and implemented by Daniel Rozensztroch.

Like a symphony “composed of little notes that love each other” (Mozart), the wabi-sabi Lab is a giant work of art, bringing together a diversity of artistic and artisanal productions. From the most ancient to the most contemporary, united by a shared aesthetic, philosophy and values, a form of suspended, oscillating, timeless equilibrium.

A journey of discovery, emotion and wonder. And behind it all, the human face, the artist, the gallery owner, the creator with whom you’ll interact.
