Sarah Jerath is a British Artist and Design Consultant. The art of natural simplicity.
Her hand coiled primitive organic vessels are embellished with the natural materials she forages on her quarry hill, the alchemy of nature, a play in her hands, the elemental imbued. She also uses ash from trees and stone in her japanese influenced glazes.
The raw clays are unprocessed to leave the history of the clays formation intrinsic.
Some of her work is fired in a primitive Japanese anagama kiln with natural ash deposits and reduction cooling.
Sarah collaborates with galleries interior designers and private clients offering earth conscious material and wabi sabi design consultancy for her collections which include clay plaster wall art, earth paintings, tablewares, khadi textiles and hand stitched clothing made in indigenous communities in India.
