Hari Baru - which means new day in Indonesian - is a range of objects for the home inspired by traditional Japanese cushions: zabutons.
Godelieve Keulen is a textile designer and her objects are made of linen, hemp, ramie and silk threads immersed in natural dyes: indigo, saffron, khaki and madder and very rare golden silk threads from Indonesia. These precious materials are assembled with sensitivity and respect, each piece is made by hand by Godelieve in Paris.
Hari Baru shows the aesthetic that Godelieve has inherited from her Dutch origins and the many years she has been living in Paris as a designer specializing in knitwear for haute couture brands and of course the influence of the long periods of time she has spent in Indonesia and Japan.
Hari Baru’s aim is to generate a harmonious and positive living atmosphere that encourages calm and introspection. These cushions are unique decorative elements to be cherished like treasures.
