For Thierry Grundman, being a wholesaler of world antiques is a constant passion, a sharing of emotions, then a transmission.
His selection criteria? The uniqueness of each piece, the poetry it radiates, its aura, a form of universal, timeless beauty. Like love, isn’t it the absolute of life? Neither ostentatious nor emphatic, Thierry’s discoveries bear witness to a lost savoir-faire, a ritual or a sunken treasure, and shine through in their simplicity and evocative power.
A single, extremely demanding filter: his eye. It knows, it feels. It recognizes exception through emotion. It judges authenticity by the rightness of proportions, the grain of a texture, the beauty of a patina, the velvety texture of a ceramic, the depth of a color.
And the selection is uncompromising. In addition to the 15,000 unusual objects in his collection, Thierry Grundman has chosen to bring together a collective of designers and gallerists. Together, they will present ceramics, paintings, sculptures, carpets, textiles and other objects that embody a soul, reveal an inspiration and are in harmony with the Atmosphère d’Ailleurs signature:
